Internship Experiences
Hatch
Hatch is on a mission to translate the emergence of digital and design into opportunities that are accessible for all.
Hatch Academy runs train-and-place programs in Digital Marketing and User Interface, User Experience Design, two of the fastest growing sectors in today’s economy. Hatch Mediahouse provides a suite of digital and design services to help organisations navigate their digitalisation journey.
I got the opportunity to be part of them through their social tech apprenticeship programme. The programme offers us a month of training, preparing us for our internship placement for the next 6 months. The training month alone taught me lots of personal growth, I get to find myself and understand myself deeper. The different things we were taught allowed me to understand what I enjoy doing or not. This alone boosted my personal growth and performance.
We got the opportunity to meet our first client, Artery. Who is a “Y Combinator” for visual artists in Singapore. An independent non profit supporting those seeking professional careers in the arts. They also are deeply passionate in trying to change Singapore’s Art scene. They seek to change perception on Art in Singapore, breaking the wall of thinking that art is something “Atas”. Art should be accessible to all, art should not be a “luxury”.
We were given the brief to create 2 different instagram post for their upcoming soft launch.
